McLwane naval career scrapbook 1918-1929.

Scrapbook of a man identified only as "McLwane". Contains photographs and postcards depicting life in the U.S. Navy during the period of early aviation, particularly at the Naval Training Station in Newport, R.I. and the U.S. Naval Air Station in Hampton Roads, Va. Views of training vessels, classroom buildings, living quarters, social activities, seaplanes and dirigibles are shown. Of interest is material concerning the crash of seaplane #770 near Norfolk, Va., on Dec. 13, 1918.
